Connects travelers with local food culture

For many of us, food and travel go hand in hand. For those wanting a greater understanding of local food culture, nowadays, there are food apps and sites connecting travelers with locally hosted culinary adventures.

Traveling Spoon stands out of the pack as it shares culinary traditions through an immersive, authentic food experience focusing on in-home meals, cooking lessons, and local market visits!

Traveling Spoon is only web-based (no app yet), but the website is user friendly making it simple to search for local hosts and their offered food experiences based on destination. Each listing includes an introduction to the host, what to expect from the food experience, location, pricing, timing, languages spoken in the household, and ways to contact the host about dietary restrictions and other questions. Reservations can easily be made with just a click of a button.

"You learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together." - Anthony Bourdain

I love how Traveling Spoon focuses on a holistic approach preparing a meal from visiting the local market to pick up ingredients, to cooking together, and sharing the meal. It brings people together connecting travelers with locals presenting an opportunity to learn more about their food culture and traditions.

Traveling Spoon currently operates in 50 countries and 160+ cities around the world.
